Mortgage and Protection Network, HLPartnership can formally announce that the average mortgage to life assurance conversion rate has increased to 24%. This is 10 percentage points lower than the industry average. HLPartnership believe that its members can be doing more to ensure that more customers are aware of the risks of taking out a mortgage and are offered the facility for mortgage advice.
HLPartnership’s pledge to deliver greater protection support for network members and excellent outcomes for customers will take another step forward with the arrival of Ian Pratt, who will be working alongside Steve Fallon as the network’s in-house protection development specialist.
Ian Pratt, who joins HLP from Legal and General, has over 33 years of financial services experience and specialises in helping firms improve and develop their protection knowledge and skills to deliver excellent customer outcomes. Ian’s main aim is to get firms and advisers to embrace their duty of care to their clients by instilling the confidence and skills required to take a customer-first attitude.
Managing Director, Shaun Almond, said, “Ian will be a great asset to the network that will help bolster the support that we offer our members. Our training courses have already had massive success with the appointment of Steve Fallon, and we will look to build on this by further enhancing our training offering.
I have known and worked with Ian for several years. I know his ability to inspire confidence in advisers, and his wealth of experience in the intermediary market will be invaluable to our members.”
